Holston GATE and Dual Enrollment Students Walk in Jefferson’s Footsteps 06-15-2017

Several teenagers stand beside a pond.HHS’s GATE and U.S. History Dual Enrollment students traveled to Charlottesville on March 24th and 25th and briefly saw the world through the eyes of America’s third president.  Students received a 3 hour guided tour that highlighted many of the innovations that Thomas Jefferson created and used in his own home.

Middle School EPIC Summer Stem Camp 05-30-2017

All offices will be open to the public Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. during the period of May 22, 2017, through July 28, 2017. Offices will be closed on Fridays unless a special event is taking place in the building(s).

Holston’s Gray is Athletic Director of the Year 05-23-2017

Two men present an award to a man.Years of hard work and dedication have paid off for HHS’s Travis Gray.  On March 31, 2017, he was named the 1A/ 2A High School Athletic Director of the Year.  His selection was announced at the 45th Annual Awards Ceremony for the Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators’ Association.

AES Students Hold a model of "Babe, the Blue Ox"Third graders at Abingdon Elementary School ended the school year in their Language Arts classes by reading and studying classic American Tall Tales. They then participated in a STEM activity correlated to each Tall Tale Character.

Second Graders at WES Enjoy a Special Guest 05-17-2017

For the past two years, students have enjoyed a presentation by Diana Salyer, an instructional assistant at Watauga Elementary. In the past, Mrs. Salyer worked with visually impaired students and was able to give second graders a glimpse into the life of a blind student.

Abingdon High School Students Place Top 3 at National Technology Student Association Conference 05-16-2017
